ASA clinics offer prick and intradermal Testing (IDT) as well as SCIT Subcutaneous Immunotherapy and Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT) as prescribed by the primary care physician or provider. Each patient is evaluated by their primary care physician to determine if they are a good candidate for Immunotherapy SCIT or SLIT. The physician will conduct an ENT evaluation and assess the patient for any health issues that might require modifying or withholding Immunotherapy treatment. Every precaution is taken to mitigate risk factors for severe Immunotherapy reactions.

Under the direction of the primary care physician, a trained ASA Allergy Technician (AT) will perform the prick, ITD, SCIT or SLIT. Patients will be followed to ensure compliance with the program. Since adverse reactions to allergen Immunotherapy may occur from severe systematic allergic reactions, every precaution will be put in place to ensure patient safety. Each ASA lab is staffed by trained allergy technicians under the supervision of our Director of Clinical Allergy Services.

In addition to essential equipment and supplies, ASA Labs include all the necessary policies and procedures for safety, sanitation, sterilization and compliance. Allergy technicians record and track patient Immunotherapy and SLIT via a state of the art Electronic Medical Records platform. In addition, allergy patients will receive education instruction and videos on Immunotherapy, SLIT, and office protocols.
